SAFETY

At Muskegon County Airport, safety is a top priority. Muskegon's professionally staffed air traffic control tower, equipped with state-of-the-art radar approach and departure control, safely directs all flight operations in the West Michigan Shoreline Region.

Effective Aug. 1, 2002, the Muskegon County Airport security is being provided by the Federal Employees of the Transportation Security Administration. The process has been designed to be fast, efficient and secure. Due to this convenient process, check-in time for all flights is at least 1 hour prior to departure. This is a real time saver for the business traveler.

ASSISTANCE FOR THE DISABLED

The Muskegon County Airport is a barrier-free facility. Amenities designed to accommodate the needs of disabled people include ADA approved tables, drinking fountains and counters, and wheelchair accessible lavatories. A boarding bridge or other services are avialable. With prior notification, the airlines can accommodate special equipment or guide animals on-board the aircraft.
